The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Computer Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Accrington for the academic year from January to August 2025. You will teach Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons in computer science, programming, and digital technology. The role involves preparing students for GCSE exams, nurturing their interest in technology, and helping them develop the skills needed for future careers in the tech industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality Computer Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
Assessing, tracking, and providing feedback on student progress
Creating an inspiring and innovative learning environment
Supporting student development and encouraging their interest in technology
Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the curriculum
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong knowledge of Computer Science and programming (e.g., Python, Java)
Passion for teaching and inspiring students in technology
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Ability to cater to students of varying abilities
