we are looking for an experienced technical manager to join our food technical team on a 6 month FTC
you will be responsible for the co-ordination + completion of activities in relation to food safety + quality + integrity + sustainability + allergen + nutrition control
supply chain food safety, quality + integrity
supplier performance management, inc supplier audits and visits, supplier performance reviews
facilitating the new menu launch process + managing sample requests for lab testing
ensuring that the company meets its legal and ethical responsibilities
ensuring all food safety issues + complaints are resolved or escalated appropriately
to liaise with the other teams and give accurate advice as required on matters of food safety + allergen compliance + nutrition in relation to food + drink ingredients
maintain supplier supply chain traceability for meat, fish and produce
a degree qualification in food science and nutrition or related discipline
minimum five years in technical management role in the industry
competence in supplier management + raw material management + risk assessments
haccp level 3 minimum
knowledge + understanding of food safety gfsi accreditation standards scheme
sound knowledge + understanding of allergen management + nutritional regulations
strong it skills, specifically excel + databases
ability to travel
strong organisational skills + planning + prioritising + self-motivating + team player
