Major Recruitment are seeking an experienced Quality Auditor to join our client's site at their manufacturing site in Leicester.
The Quality Auditor will be a key team player assisting the Quality Manager with the responsibility of Quality and Food Safety management systems.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Auditor:
1. Complete monthly KPI reports, summarising issues and trends
2. Daily monitoring of product quality
3. Assisting with the TACCP/VACCP systems
4. Managing the internal audit schedule, chasing up outstanding audits, logging non-conformances and chasing completion of actions raised
5. Active HACCP team member, able to complete tasks on the site's HACCP system
6. Completing internal audits
7. Monitoring internal non-conformances ensuring they are completed with effective corrective actions
8. Assisting in the training of staff in procedures
9. Checking artwork against approved specifications
10. Logging and communicating concession requests
11. Trending concessions and reporting trends to Technical management/site KPI report monthly
12. Trending non-conformances and reporting trends to Technical management/site KPI report monthly
13. Challenging traceability from raw material receipt to dispatch of finished product, including completing mass balance exercises and managing the traceability schedule
14. Completing pre-launch document checks and handing over products to production
15. Attending trials and reporting back any concerns to the Technical team
16. Investigating customer complaints and working collaboratively with production to identify root cause
17. Investigating foreign body finds
18. Managing calibration of equipment
19. Completing ad hoc tasks issued by the Technical Manager

Skills required to be a Quality Auditor:
* Previous experience working in a QA or Technical role
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards
* BRCG experience
* Excellent communication skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
* HACCP Level 2 Training & Auditing (desirable)
* Level 3 Food Safety
* Internal Auditor
