The University of Bath is recruiting a new Project Manager (Capital Works) to manage its most complex and exciting capital projects!
You will be managing key projects across our diverse estate that range from our purpose-built campus, from our original 1960s plan through to new campus upgrades.
Within this dynamic role you will draw on the experience of diverse project teams and collaborate with a range of colleagues and stakeholders and take responsibility for project performance, quality assurance and risk assessments.
Developing cohesive project teams will be key to your success through the effective procurement, contracting and coordination of services either through in-house resources, external consultants and contractors/sub-contractors.
You should have:
- Proven success in delivering multiple complex projects at the same time within a similar estate environment
- Relevant qualifications such as a Chartered Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor status
- An understanding of the legal and practical aspects of NEC and JCT contracts
- Experience procuring, contracting and allocating/managing workloads for a mix of internal and external colleagues
- Successfully led external consultants and contractors to ensure success

The role is based in the Department of Campus Infrastructure, who are responsible for the planning, development and management of the Universitys lands and buildings. The Infrastructure team provide installation, maintenance and repair of these buildings, contributing to the Universitys exceptional student experience.
