Amore Complex Care are looking for fun and outgoing support workers to support a gentleman in his 40s, who has a diagnosis of Neurodegeneration.

Meet the person you’ll be supporting:
* Who am I? I am a gentleman in my 40's.
* What activities do I do? I love watching movies, series, and documentaries on CSI, Criminal Minds, and Superheroes. I am also a big Manchester City Fan.
* What challenges do I have? My mobility is very restricted, and I require assistance with my hoist and sling. My speech is affected by my condition and is limited. I communicate mainly through hand signals and head movements. I also have a PEG and require my medication through this.
* What types of people do I get along with? Bubbly, chatty people who can match my energy. I am non-verbal, so I also get along well with people who can be patient with my communication. If my staff are funny, we will get on just fine.
My team
* How many people support me at one time? 2:1 staffing ratio during the day, and 1:1 for night shifts.
* What shift patterns do my team do? 12-hour days/nights.
* What are my team trained in? My staff will receive a bespoke training course specifically to cover my needs.
Job responsibilities:
* Assisting with goal-oriented activities and daily living skills.
* Monitoring the service user's physical and emotional well-being.
* Assisting with personal care.
* Supporting with sensory needs.
* Providing person-centred support.
* Supporting with household duties, such as cooking and cleaning.
* Assisting the individual in developing and maintaining positive relationships in the community.
