You will be expected to make broad contributions to support the academic needs of UPGRAD students in working closely with the academic link tutors. Core Academic Responsibilities: To ensure an excellent student learning experience through: Planning and teaching research methods and techniques in line with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) Learning Teaching and Assessment strategy, Academic Framework and quality requirements. Working closely with the academic link tutors to ensure dissertation (project) materials are fully available to all students Be knowledgeable of all evaluating teaching and learning practices and assessment. Provide the full support and students needs via distance communication tools such as Skype, emails etc. Provide two weekly summary report to the Executive Dean, Head of Department and Link Tutor covering all the activities undertaken to ensure UPGRAD students are fully supported Contributing to programme / module development and curriculum review. Working with colleagues to support a strong academic programme identity to UPGRAD students. Working with the link tutor to produce teaching materials informed by current research that motivate and inspire student learning. Making appropriate use of technology to support learning and teaching, e.g. LJMU's Virtual Learning Environment via CANVAS and UPGRAD distance learning platform. Supervising and providing support and guidance for student learning activities, such as work-based learning and research activities. Assessing assignments and keep students on tracks in delivering the projects aims and objectives and providing timely and constructive feedback to students. Responding to student feedback and taking action as appropriate following the advice from the link tutor. Providing academic support and guidance for students. Participating in ongoing professional development and evaluation of practice relating to learning, teaching and assessment in line with qualifications and experience, changes in subject/discipline, pedagogic development and innovation in learning technology. This includes participating in the improvement of research methods and techniques. Appropriate professional development support for teaching and learning matched to individual's qualifications and experience will be provided by the faculty and LJMU.
