Job Description Summary
JOB TITLE: Technical Implementation Consultant
SALARY: £73,500 - £89,000 (dependent on experience, range aligned to our London office)
LOCATIONS: Edinburgh / London
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. As a client-facing role, you may potentially be required to travel within the UK and Europe.
About This Opportunity
Our Cash Management and Payments (CM&P) platform within the Business Commercial Banking (BCB) division provides a wide range of cash management and payment services to our BCB, Corporate Institutional Banking (CIB) clients, and other internal entities. Our engagement with clients is broader and deeper than ever, making this an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious professional to join our newly established team.
As a Platform Technical Implementation Consultant, you'll provide world-class technical consultancy to our largest and most complex clients, ensuring successful implementation of our solutions.
In this client-facing role, you'll build great working relationships with clients, third-party suppliers, and internal colleagues from Commercial Bank and support teams. The goal is to ensure products are delivered to client requirements and timelines. Contributing to our clients' complete understanding of our wide variety of technical services, you'll develop your skills and ensure client happiness.
Using your expertise in cash management and payment solutions, you'll lead technical points of contact for client set within our platform (including defining technical solutions and aligning with standard methodologies where relevant).
Running multiple engagements simultaneously, you'll ensure our client's voice is understood and handle contending priorities effectively to meet expectations. Your ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and confidently communicate with our clients' engineering teams is key.
You'll be responsible for:
* Orchestrating platform subject matter experts (SME) inputs into how the platform can be used to support client propositional or solution outcome.
* Minimising the degree platform SME’s within feature teams are called upon to provide direct client inputs or solution options.
* Chief envoy for the platform at relevant stakeholder forums, e.g. ‘Deal Qualifier, GEM Operating Forum’.
* Key point of contact into the platform team for business/client queries on how the technology operates.
* Taking the voice of the platform, key data insights, customer behaviour, performance metrics and other representations out to business partners.
* Work closely with the channel implementation team ensuring what was designed is implemented.
* Attends meetings and training as the need arises, to continue development and product knowledge to become a SME.
What You'll Need
* You should be able to quickly form strong working relationships and communicate effectively with people at all levels. Being a self-starter is crucial.
* Demonstrate strong experience in client-facing roles implementing/scoping complex technical services in large or global businesses.
* Consistent track record of delivery and able to run multiple projects simultaneously.
* Be self-motivated and proactive in identifying and promoting new processes and procedures.
* Possess deep knowledge of commercial clients' transaction banking business and their use of enterprise resource planning and treasury management systems.
* Evidence of experience with implementation and analysis of H2H/API/XML/ISO/Data specifications, JSON, Security & Payments Standards, and Message Networks such as SWIFT.
