If so our client are searching for a deputy Manager within their Residential home in Hoddesdon, to work directly with complex families where there are safeguarding concerns and there may be a real risk of them otherwise coming into care.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations within the home, ensuring high standards of care and support for the children and their families.
* Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety protocols while administering medications.
* Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to enhance resident well-being and quality of life.
* To work closely alongside the homes manager to assist in the running of the home on a day-to-day basis, and to achieve the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose.
* To provide advice, assistance, and support to young people, safeguarding their welfare at all times.
* To attend to their practical, physical, and emotional needs.
* To act as an appropriate role model and to work closely with them to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.
* To support Residential Childcare Workers and the team leaders in their role, including mentoring and supervision.
Qualifications
* QCF Level 4 essential
* DBS Essential
* Proven management and supervisory experience in a residential setting
* OFSTED knowledge essential
* Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development
* Experience in assisted living and nursing home environments
* Ability to create and implement effective care plans
