Job title: Personal Care Assistant (PA)
Location: Start from home, Tinshill, Leeds
Job purpose: To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the person who needs care:
About Judah: Judah is a lovely 12-year-old boy who lives with his parents, older sister, and his dog, Levi. He enjoys books, writing poetry, listening to music, swimming, and dog walks.
Medical conditions: Judah is severely autistic. He has social and communication difficulties. He is non-speaking but communicates with some words (often illegible) and his AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication device). Although he is mobile and can walk without support, he has poor gross and fine motor skills so is unable to ride or swim without support or write with a pen. (He can, however, type on any device.)
Main duties:
To support with developing skills & independence in travelling to and partaking in interests outside of the home environment.
Social duties: Support to:
1. Accompany to places of interest such as public library, bowling, cinema, or McDonald's.
2. Communicate socially via his AAC with yourself or people at the above venues.
Personal care: Support with toileting & eating (when needed during the allotted 3 hours).
Domestic duties: Support with travelling by public transport (bus) or car to the above venues. These duties may vary from week to week.

Hours of work:
