Teacher of Science
Teacher Main Scale or UPS
Full time or part time from January 2025 on a permanent basis.
We are recruiting for a Teacher of Science to join the successful and thriving Science Department here at Cleeve from January 2025. We are very flexible regarding full-time or part-time.
ECTs are very welcome and encouraged to apply and our provision for new members of staff is strong, particularly driven by our emphasis on career development. We are a teacher training lead hub school, which brings opportunity and mirrors being a centre of excellence for staff training. On appointment, you will be supported by a successful Head of Department, and a broader team of professionals, depending on your stage of career development. We pride ourselves on being the school of choice for ECTs.
If we appoint an ECT then we consider starting you on a higher M-scale point than M1. For a more experienced candidate, there could be the possibility of a TLR.
It is an exciting time to be joining the Science Team at Cleeve School. Over the last few years, we have raised the profile of the department, selling our vision to the students here at Cleeve and as such we have many students
currently opting to study triple Science and A-Level Sciences.
The department has an extremely well-resourced laboratory, with attractive teaching rooms, an excellent range of teaching resources, a great network with local schools and businesses.
The school is an equal opportunities employer and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare
of children and young people, and therefore expects all staff and volunteers, to share this same commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age,
disability, sexual orientation or religion. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS Check.
Please apply using our application form.
Closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 21st October 2024
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact the school.
