We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our dedicated team, supporting residents with complex mental health needs across Oswald House, Whalley Road, Blackburn Road and our brand-new service, Bilberry Lodge, which is set to open in July 2025.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality psychological support within our specialist residential settings, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the well-being and recovery of our residents. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and motivated professional to apply psychological principles in a hands-on, person-centred environment, contributing to the assessment, formulation, and implementation of care plans under the supervision of qualified clinicians.

What you'll be working:
This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
What you'll be doing:
* Provide a high standard of care under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist
* Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights
* Assist in the formulation of routine care plans involving the psychological treatment or management of the client’s condition under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist
* Support the delivery of teaching and training to other members of the team
* Attend and contribute to MDT meetings
* Undertake work appropriate to the role of an Assistant Psychologist as agreed with the Clinical Psychologist
* Work within the BPS Code of Conduct and organisation guidelines
What you'll have:
* Previous experience working as an Assistant Psychologist is essential
* BPS recognised Psychology undergraduate degree of 2:1 or above, plus eligibility for Graduate Basis for Registration with the British Psychological Society is also essential
* High level communication skills (written and verbal)
* Understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with complex mental health conditions
* Able to apply psychological theory to practice
* A theoretical framework in psychology
* Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
