Role Overview
The role is to identify damaged mechanical and electrical components on a damaged Car/Light Commercial Vehicle, and remove and refit these components before and after body repair work has been carried out. They typically work on repairing vehicles that have been involved in accidents or similar incidents within a collision repair workshop.
Duties will include:
1. Assessing faults
2. Preparing job cards and assessment reports
3. Accessing and removing mechanical and electrical components
4. Removing and fitting non-structural body panels
5. Removing and re-installing mechanical and electrical systems
6. Vehicle valeting

2. GCSE or equivalent English C/4 or above (Essential)
3. GCSE or equivalent Maths C/4 or above (Essential)
4. Nationally recognised qualifications – IMI Apprenticeship in Vehicle Damage Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Technician (Standard – Level 3)
5. Functional Skills Level 2 (if required)
Regular review and welfare visits from our assessors who will observe all evidence opportunities that occur naturally in the workplace.
Upon successful completion and review of the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to gain employment with the business.
