Job Title: Carpenter/Multi Trader
Job Type: Full-time, Ongoing Contract
Location: Lincoln and surrounding areas
Rate: £160 - £180 per day CIS (Opportunity for permanent available)
Company, Project & Benefits:
A property maintenance company responsible for the repairs and maintenance of social housing properties is looking for a Carpenter/Multi Trader to join their team working in Lincoln and the surrounding area for planned and responsive works. You will be working in the Repairs & Voids Team completing maintenance work as required by tenants, including essential reactive maintenance, installation, and repair works on domestic properties, and any other duties including multi-skilling works associated with your core trade. This is a full-time ongoing role with the prospect of becoming permanent.
Responsibilities:
1. Work in a safe, professional, and courteous manner, ensuring that all works are carried out with due regard to the Health and Safety of all persons affected by the works.
2. Undertake the duties and responsibilities of the post, ensuring compliance with our Health & Safety Policy, Risk Assessments, Safe Working Practices, COSHH Assessments, and all relevant Health & Safety Regulations.
3. Conduct yourself in a manner that will bring credit to yourself in all dealings with our customers and the public.
4. Availability to work flexible hours.
Desirable Experience:
1. DDA preferred but not essential.
2. Experience in maintenance and repair work in void residential properties, including all aspects of carpentry, basic plumbing, tiling, plastering, and kitchen & bathroom fitting.
3. Proven experience in all aspects of planned works and repairs.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Proven ability to produce work consistently to high standards.
2. Ability to complete relevant certification for plumbing works; self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
3. Willingness or experience in using a handheld Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) to complete work and maintain van stocks.
4. Holder of a full current driving licence.
5. Proven interpersonal and technical skills.
6. Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
