Our Bristol Bakery and Distribution depot is located at Severn Beach, near Bristol. You’ll find us a 15-minute drive from the M5 and 10 minutes from Severn bridge if you’re heading over the bridge from Wales (Toll Free)!
You will partner with business leaders, providing coaching and driving change to grow talent, simplify organisations, and lead people through the delivery of people plans and commercially focused HR solutions as part of one People team.
We have 3 state-of-the-art manufacturing plants and Bristol Bakery is the proud home to one of our latest innovations, The Bagel!
Bristol manufactures and distributes over 12 different types of bakery products, producing over 160,000 units of freshly baked products to delight families across the UK.
With nearly 500 colleagues and over 21 different nationalities, working a variety of different shift patterns, the bakery runs 363 days of the year, 24/7.
Bristol is also a dedicated Driver Training Centre and Distribution hub!
Key Accountabilities and Measures
* Partner with senior management on the implementation and execution of the Lead for Growth strategy and key people processes, performance coaching leaders to grow talent, simplify organisations, lead and engage people.
* Develop and execute People Plans, initiatives, and actions in line with business plans and goals to support local/functional needs, improvement to and delivery of people capability and performance indicators.
* Provide leadership and guidance on People matters, bringing expertise, external and internal insights to the site leadership team and wider People team to foster a continuous improvement approach, driving improved decision-making locally and nationally.
* Ensure a positive employee experience so that people are engaged in line with an employer of choice ethos and Warburtons values.
* Drive the empowerment/self-service capability of our people and work collaboratively with the People Services, Resourcing, and Advisor teams to ensure timely, relevant support and service to our people.
* Collaborate with the Centres of Excellence in representing the voice of the internal customer to ensure that central initiatives are fit for purpose. Implement central initiatives effectively.
* Take responsibility for maintaining own continuous professional development (CPD) and knowledge of best practices. Identify CPD opportunities for self, share new knowledge, and encourage team members and the broader people team to develop their skills through sharing of knowledge and expertise.
* Proven HR/People business partner to senior stakeholders within an FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or Distribution Environment.
* Senior HR/People generalist with experience of leading and coaching people.
* Background in driving, leading, and supporting through change.
* Experience of working in collaboration with Trade Unions and/or colleague forums at a site/depot level.
* Strong breadth and depth of knowledge across various specialist areas within HR and regarded as a trusted advisor by senior colleagues and leadership team.
* Full-time, on-site position based in Bristol, Severn Beach.
* 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.
* FTC for 12 months.
* Fast-paced manufacturing environment requiring hands-on management and leadership.
