Job Title: Live-In Support Worker
Location: Hindhead, Surrey, England (Private Residence)
Schedule: 3 Days & 3 Nights per week (Live-In Position)

About the Individual
We are recruiting one or two support workers for a lady with Down Syndrome and the associated learning difficulties. She lives independently in her own home with support. She values her independence whilst requiring consistent support to help her navigate daily life safely and enjoyably.
Role Overview
We are seeking dedicated, compassionate individuals to provide personalised support in her home environment. The successful candidate will live in her home for three consecutive days and nights per week, with accommodation provided. This role requires someone who can balance providing necessary support while respecting and encouraging her independence and choices.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Living Support
* Assist with meal planning, preparation, and cooking
* Support with household management including cleaning and laundry
* Help with shopping and managing household supplies
* Guide and support with personal finances and budgeting
Personal Care
* Provide sensitive assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming as needed
* Maintain dignity and privacy at all times
* Support with medication management if required
Social Engagement & Community Participation
* Accompany to social activities and community events
* Support participation in hobbies and recreational activities
* Facilitate maintenance of personal relationships with family and friends
* Enable access to local amenities and services
* Coordinate and attend healthcare appointments
* Monitor overall wellbeing and report any concerns
* Implement health-related guidance from healthcare professionals
* Promote healthy lifestyle choices appropriate to preferences
Skills Development
* Support learning of new skills to enhance independence
* Use person-centred approaches to help achieve personal goals
* Maintain consistent routines while encouraging appropriate new experiences
Minimum Requirements
* Driving Licence: Valid UK driving licence is essential
* Vehicle: Access to own vehicle is preferred
* Experience: Previous experience supporting adults with learning difficulties, particularly Down Syndrome
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent is desirable, but relevant experience can be considered in lieu of formal qualifications
* DBS Check: Enhanced DBS clearance will be required
