Technology Assurance Analyst
Your team
The Risk Management & Assurance function are in the initial stages of building out our Tech Assurance team and as a result an opportunity has arisen for a Technology Assurance Analyst to join the growing team within Flutter UKI. Reporting into the Technology Assurance Manager, the Assurance Analyst will support the manager and wider second line team to champion and protect the delivery of our regulatory requirements, business objectives and commercial goals. The team will be responsible for providing assurance to the UKI Executive team on the design and efficiency of key technology controls and how these mitigate associated risks.
What you’ll do
1. Provide ongoing assurance to other business areas on the effectiveness of key regulatory and business operational controls through continuous data reporting, control testing and thematic reviews.
2. Conduct testing to ensure internal controls are designed adequately, operationally effective and are aligned to the business’s regulatory requirements, objectives, and risk appetite.
3. Identify and raise regulatory breaches and or control weaknesses through continuous monitoring by scoping, testing, and reporting of business key controls.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders across UKI to improve our risk profile and ensure we adhere to regulatory requirements.
5. Assurance projects - With support from management, deliver end-to-end reviews across the Cyber & Technology areas of the business.
6. Build and maintain positive relationships with business stakeholders across Technology, Cyber, Internal Audit and Group Functions.
7. Analyse data to make informed conclusions and independently deliver reviews using a range of data analytic techniques.
How you’ll do it
1. A good understanding of IT controls (e.g., ITGCs, application controls, security, organisational change, data & Platform management, infrastructure etc.) and how these form part of wider control frameworks (e.g. COSO, COBIT).
2. Knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS, GCP or Azure), operational frameworks and security controls.
3. CISA, CISM, CISSP qualification or equivalent is desirable.
4. Knowledge and practical experience of data analytics, data presentation, robotic process automation and/or machine learning is desirable.
5. Experience in working in Audit, Risk, Compliance, Assurance, or a similar role is desirable.
6. Experience of Data/Platform Engineering, Platform Development is an advantage (e.g. writing or optimising SQL queries or interrogate Python).
7. Experience in using data analytic tools and techniques is an advantage.
