We currently have a full time 37hr vacancy for a Business Officer position in the Huntingdonshire Child and Family Centre team. This vacancy is fixed term for 12 months. The expectation is that the successful candidate will be able to work flexibly across the locations where we are delivering a service (Huntingdon, St Ives, St Neots, Ramsey and Sawtry).
Child and Family Centres are part of a wider Targeted Support District team, whose aim is to improve outcomes for all children and to reduce inequalities in outcomes between children growing up with disadvantages and the wider population.
Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
What will you be doing?
You will be required to provide high quality administrative support to the team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience within the Local Authority and develop knowledge and understanding of Children's Services.
The role involves liaising with colleagues, professionals and members of the public over the phone, email, social media platforms and face-to-face, so excellent communication skills are essential. An understanding of confidentiality and data protection is imperative.
About you
The successful candidate must have a working knowledge of Windows & Microsoft packages (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Internet Explorer), and experience of using client databases. You will need to be self-motivated, organised and flexible, with the ability to manage your own workload, prioritise and forward plan.
