Job description We are seeking experienced female support workers for community care and complex care packages in the Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead areas. Sponsorships not available. Full UK licence and access to your own car is essential. Shift requirements - we have a range of hours / shifts covering 7 days per week- flexiblie hours are available for succesful candidates. Salary: £12.33 - £14.06- with enhancements for bank holidays. Part time and full time hours depending on experience and availablility. Main responsibilities: Supporting individuals in a person-centred way Overseeing routines as devised in support plans from a range of professionals Supporting some aspects of personal care Providing clinical interventions as required Assisting community enabling / homecare / respite visits. Administering and managing all levels of medication if required. Manage and monitor nutritional and fluid intake / output. Assist at activities while advocating and empowering independence. Working in a multi-disciplinary team Ensuring compliance for Health and Safety. Ensuring all records are maintained according to policy and procedure. Attend all training / workshops and competency sessions. Attend team meetings. To respond positively to changing needs and managing risk effectively. To undertake other duties as may reasonably be required All applicants will need to evidence they have the required experience in health and social care employment in the UK. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Ex-Offenders Act alongside exemption from the Equality Act. A satisfactory Enhanced Adult Workforce DBS / Update Service DBS is required for the post.
