Please note that the annual salary advertised is for a full-time role, based on 35.00/37.00 hours per week. If the position you are applying for is part time or you are only going to be working part of the year, i.e., a term time contract for 38 or 39 weeks per year, the annual salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis including a number of additional weeks for annual leave entitlement when the position is term time.
Recruitment Profile
The Scottish Borders Council is looking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced Fleet Compliance and Asset Manager to be based at our Newton St. Boswells depot but with a remit to cover outlying workshops within the Scottish Borders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for asset management and maintenance compliance as well as overseeing our six in-house workshops.

Essential
Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or evidence of comparable experience and training.
· Professional Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Vehicle Management, eg, M I Mech E, MIRTE.
· National or International Transport Manager CPC for inclusion on the Operator’s Licence or prepared to study for and attain the qualification within six months of being appointed to the post.
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.*
