Main duties of the job The Cardio Thoracic and Cardiology Nurse Case manager team is looking for an experienced nurse to join our friendly team of Nurse Practitioners. This is a progressive role starting at band 5 and on completion of a comprehensive training and development pathway you will automatically be promoted to band 6. The expected timeframe to undertake and complete relevant competencies is 6 months. The nurse practitioners provide a pre-operative assessment service for patients undergoing Cardio Thoracic surgery and Cardiology interventions. The nurse practitioners liaise closely with Consultant surgeons, Anaesthetist and MDT teams across the regions to ensure quality care throughout the whole of the patients' journey.
