Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Stoke City Football Club of the English Football League for a Lead Academy Match Analyst to support its football operations at our Training Ground Facility at Clayton Wood in Trent Vale.
The Academy Analysis department plays a key role in supporting the development of young players at the Club. The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of match analysis within the Academy as well as overseeing a team of full time and part time Analysts and Interns. You will be required to design and implement new ideas and technologies to support the coaches in their delivery of the Academy philosophy as well as providing information to support the development of players for the U9 to U21 age group.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
1. Football background either as a player or coach and/or a qualification at degree level in Sports Science or a related subject specialising in performance analysis.
2. Excellent management and communication skills.
3. Experience of delivering performance analysis support in an elite football or sport environment across a variety of ages.
4. Ability to implement and manage a system for measuring performance of coaches, teams and players.
5. High level knowledge and proficiency in the use of sports analysis systems and other technologies.
6. Ability to plan, work independently and meet deadlines.
7. Football coaching badge and a knowledge of the requirements for professional football.
The position will be offered on a full time basis, with the successful applicant available to work evenings and weekends when required.
