About the Role: As a Full-time Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that cater to students of varying abilities. You will play a key role in developing students’ problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning and confidence in the subject. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver innovative and challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum. Teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable). Develop engaging and differentiated resources to support student learning. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation. Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level exams, ensuring they achieve their full potential. Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the school’s Maths department. Participate in school-wide activities, including extra-curricular maths clubs, workshops and interventions. Full-time Maths Teacher requirements: Must have a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject. Proven experience in teaching Mathematics at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement. A passion for teaching and an ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities in Mathematics. Strong pedagogical knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for mathematics. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating and supportive learning environment. Effective communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff and parents. A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
