Are you passionate about governance and looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference? We are currently seeking a Governance Assistant to join our Governance Team on a temporary 12-month basis. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth and effective delivery of governance services.
No two days are the same in this varied role. This is a great opportunity for a reliable team member, with high attention to detail, to continue to develop their administration and meeting management skills. You will also learn about different areas of the organisation and how the effective running of governance arrangements support PCH and its vision and values.
This is a diverse role with the principal function being to provide support to the Governance Manager in relation to all matters concerning the effective running of the governance arrangements of PCH, particularly services to the Board, subsidiary Boards and Committees. This includes running and supporting formal meetings, drafting agendas and producing accurate and good quality minutes. Further responsibilities include supporting Board Member recruitment, induction, appraisal and training - Information governance including requests for information under data protection guidelines.
Our ideal candidate for this role is someone who has:
* Experience within a similar administration support role - including organising and running formal meetings, drafting agendas and producing accurate and good quality minutes.
* The ability to process and record information promptly and accurately.
* Experience of working effectively with a wide range of people, including staff members, customers, and stakeholders.
* A proven team worker, with the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with a range of people, across all areas of the organization.
* An understanding of Data protection legislation and its practical application in a business environment.
