Job Requirements
Qualified to undertake all aspects of maintenance and repairs to HGV & LGV in line with VOSA/FTA/RTA safety inspections process.
Able to identify faults and apply diagnostic skills on all makes of vehicles, with a thorough knowledge of each system requirement, including a level of electrical & hydraulic diagnostic capabilities.
Liaise and interact with external maintenance contractors.
Safety driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
Full UK HGV driving licence including CPC and Digi Card (including 1 year on the road driving experience) is essential.
Pre-employment checks - ability to achieve successful completion of the referencing (checkable 5-year employment/education history) and criminal record check procedures to meet CAA security regulations, and a satisfactory medical report.
Job Summary
The role involves identifying faults in LGV trucks / trailers and other vehicles in the company fleet, carrying out inspections, diagnosis, and rectification of faults on vehicles accordingly. The role is key in maintaining the serviceability of the company fleet to meet operational demands and in ensuring our vehicles provide a safe and secure working environment for our Drivers.
Hours of work:
42 hours per week over a rostered shift pattern (4 on, 4 off). The job holder must have a flexible approach to working variable shift patterns within our 24-hour operation.
