Our client, a well-recognised International Trade Association, is currently recruiting for a Quality Officer based at their head offices in Ashford, Kent.
The Role
The Quality Officer will be responsible for supporting the Quality Department in maintaining the QMS, ensuring compliance with international and national standards, effectively implementing the internal audit programme, and actively participating in strengthening and developing the association’s policies, procedures, and processes. They will also support other functions and assist in coordinating projects with internal and external stakeholders.
Education/Qualifications/Experience Required:
1. Degree or equivalent professional or vocational qualification.
2. Hold a recognised professional Internal/Lead Auditor qualification (advantageous).
3. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar quality assurance role.
4. Knowledge and experience of audit methodologies and techniques including: audit planning, audit scheduling, allocating resources, audit report writing, and identification/classification of audit outcomes.
5. Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and QMS software.
6. Experience of continuous improvement methodology.
7. Experience in collating, analysing, and presenting data and metrics.
8. Experience in process mapping.
9. Good numeracy and statistical analysis skills.
10. Experience in CAPAs.
11. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
12. Ability to prioritise workload, exercise good time-management, and meet deadlines with excellent organisational skills.
13. Excellent interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders.
14. Experience in providing training to personnel.
15. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
16. Proficient in verbal and written English.
17. Experience in project management.
18. Familiarity with risk assessments.
19. Experience working with external quality assurance agencies, professional bodies, and/or collaborative partners.
20. Excellent IT skills, including the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, email, internet, video conferencing, and virtual learning environments.
21. Experience of ISO 17024 & ISO 17021 (advantageous).
