Job Title: UK Copyright Administrator - Warner Chappell Music A little bit about our team: Together with our UK Royalty and Income Tracking teams, the UK Copyright Department is part of our UK Administration division at Warner Chappell UK. The team is the custodian of our copyrights, responsible for the administration of all locally signed agreements and associated copyrights as well as maintaining the integrity of our extensive back-catalogue and performs an important role in completing the final step of the end-to-end music value chain at Warner Chappell. Your role: We're looking for a forward-thinking, self-motivated administrator to join our UK Copyright team. Reporting directly to the UK Copyright Manager, the position provides the opportunity to gain well-rounded experience across all areas of copyright, the foundation of music publishing. You will get to work as part of a future-facing administration team, building relationships across our writer client community, international affiliates and local performing and mechanical collection societies, through work that will include researching and answering queries, investigating and resolving duplicate claims and disputes, registering works and agreements and providing support in the review and resolution of income suspense and error files. Here you'll get to: - Create and maintain accurate deals and works within Warner Chappell's bespoke copyright and royalty system Tango, ensuring efficient and timely registration of our writers' works - Audit society registrations of the Warner Chappell UK catalogue globally, ensuring works are correctly registered, querying unnotified and merging works as required. - Manage society counter claims and catalogue disputes, including in-depth research to determine WCM's legal rights, working to release income held for UK copyrights in society suspense globally - Troubleshoot copyright enquiries, providing assistance to our legal, finance and creative teams as needed - Review and resolution of quarterly internal error and suspense files. Self-serving report generation, analysis summaries for management and working collaboratively to resolve and reduce file values. - Oversee weekly compilations of new UK releases and chart activity, regarding all WCM Deal Signing Territory's copyright interests - Provide a high-level of customer service to our UK clients. Respond to client queries in a courteous and timely manner, investigating and resolving queries as required. - Update and maintain WCM's central filing records - Act as a point of contact for incoming internal and external queries and liaise internally to resolve - Initiate new processes and contribute ideas toward system enhancements - Work interdepartmentally, collaborating with colleagues in different departments to streamline and improve overall administration processes, in particular Finance, Global Copyright, Income Tracking and Royalty Processing - Attend internal and external meetings, as a representative of the Warner Chappell business - Provide ad hoc support or project work at the direction of the UK Copyright Manager About you: - Previous experience working within a similar role or a role with transferable skills - A music lover who values creation and is passionate about servicing our songwriters and rightsholders - A strong communicator with a customer-orientated approach, comfortable liaising with individuals of all positions and backgrounds - Exceptionally organised with meticulous attention to detail. - You enjoy multi-tasking and know how to employ effective time-management, prioritisation and planning techniques to complete projects to deadlines - You are self-motivated and results-focused with a proven ability to improve performance and process - You are a flexible and constructive team player - Comfortable setting your own priorities.
