Swift Placements are working with Client based in York who are looking to recruit for a People Trainer on a full-time permanent basis, you will be based across two sites Dishforth and Widnes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs to enhance the operational efficiency and safety of the company's feed production processes. This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify training needs, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
The package:
Full time Permanent position
Monday – Friday onsite
40 hours a week
Salary on offer: £30,000
Hours: 8:30- 5:00pm
Please note: One week in three would be a late start/finish (negotiable) this is to cover the training on the night shift which begins at 6 pm, this could potentially be 12-8pm.

Key Responsibilities:
* Training Program Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs for operational staff, focusing on areas such as equipment operation, safety protocols, quality control, Health and Safety and Quality Compliance.
* Needs Assessment: Collaborate with department managers to identify skill gaps and training needs within the operations team. You will be liaising with Site Managers, Shift Managers, Supervisors to ensure teams are fully trained in all relevant areas. Coordinate / deliver employee inductions.
* Compliance and Safety: Ensure all training materials and programs comply with industry regulations and company policies, particularly concerning health and safety standards.
* Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of employee training, certifications, and ongoing development activities. Track, monitor and report on training outcomes and advise when mandatory refresher training is required.
* Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
* Facilitation: Conduct training sessions using various methods, including workshops, e-learning, and hands-on demonstrations. Supporting new employees across the business, including regular check ins, 1:1 training and mentoring.
* Resource Management: Manage training resources, including materials, equipment, and budgets. Assist with coordinating training events. Work closely with HR to plan and organise training on the companies’ policies and procedures.
Experience:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience within a similar role
* Experience of delivering full training cycle.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, internally and externally
* Good IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft Packages
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
* Strong work ethic with the ability to show initiative, work on their own and as part of a team
* Strong interpersonal skills and a customer focus led approach for internal customers
* Experience in a production environment
* Must be qualified IOSH (or working towards)
* Full driving license with access to a car
