Closing Date for Application: Saturday 15/02/2025 ADEY, the market leader in the provision of residential water treatment products for closed loop heating and cooling systems in the UK, is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join the team. Now part of the Genuit Groups’ Climate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, ADEY has ambitious growth plans. The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Manager will have daily operational responsibility for all warehouse activities. Ensuring production and customer order fulfilment targets are met; by maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse, while ensuring the efficient inbound receipt of raw material and components, maintaining accurate and readily available inventory to support the production plan, and the timely outbound dispatch of finished product. Integral to the role is working as a key member of the Operations team, demonstrating strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Following successful onboarding and development, it is expected the Warehouse Manager will deputise for the Operations Manager during holiday and periods of absence. Working hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm Working style: Full onsite role. Responsibilities Operations Management: Oversee the daily warehouse operations, ensuring safety, quality and compliance at all time. Monitor and manage inbound, replenishment and outbound workflows; receipt of inbound supply of raw material and components, inventory put-away and replenishment, pick and pack of finished goods, and outbound dispatch processes. Implement and enforce warehouse policies, procedures, and standards. Inventory Control: Identify and timely resolution of stock level discrepancies Manage stock take procedures and ensure 100% inventory cycle counts are performed according to defined schedules with due diligence, recorded fully with corrective actions and investigations undertaken through to swift conclusion, and supported by Finance. Maintain accurate inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts; ensuring all stock (Raw Material, Components, WIP, Finished Goods) is transacted and replenished correctly, and fulfils the production plan and customer orders on-time. Optimise inventory storage, stock replenishment and ensure correct stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO), to ensure aged stock is minimised. Safety, Quality and Compliance: Ensure Warehouse teams understand and comply with Environmental, Health and Safety regulations, policies and procedures, follow safe working practices, standard operating procedures and product quality standards. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions. Maintain a safe, clean and organized warehouse environment. Ensure compliance with internal and external legislation and standards are maintained, and timely corrective action is taken to address any deviation or improvement identified. Undertake Risk Assessments, initiate action plans and work with peers to mitigate risks to the lowest reasonably practicable level, including maintaining expected compliance. Actively support and oversee incident, accident, customer complaints and NCR investigations and provide timely reports to stakeholders; ensuring all corrective actions are completed. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization to improve productivity and reduce Warehouse operating costs. Implement lean practices and warehouse management best practices. Collaborate with other departments to improve operational performance and supply chain efficiency. Work closely with other departments to streamline processes and enhance overall operational efficiency. Reporting and Analytics: Prepare regular reports for senior management on inventory levels, order fulfilment, and Warehouse performance. Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement improvements. Monitor and report Warehouse performance, KPIs, achievement of objectives and corrective/improvement actions to deliver operational objectives. Team Leadership: Manage Warehouse Team, comprising of; Warehouse Shift Supervisors, Inventory Controller and Warehouse Operatives. Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and safety. Develop and maintain staff schedules and allocate resources effectively. Provide ongoing coaching, conduct performance reviews, and development opportunities. Consistently promote high standards through personal example and engaging with teams so that each member understands the standards and behaviours expected of them. Experience & Qualifications Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management systems. Practical knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety legislation. IOSH/NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous. Proficiency in warehouse management software, ie ERP, WMS, Barcode Scanners. Excellent leadership and team management skills, including experience of dealing with grievance and disciplinary issues as required up to and including dismissal. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Exceptional organizational and communication skills. Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Forklift license – flexibility to be hands on when required, FLT license would be advantageous. Experience of applying lean principles and problem-solving to root cause, desirable. Computer literacy: proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Good verbal communication skills, including active listening and the ability to translate complex information, and liaise with different levels of management and staff.
