Do you have prior experience as an SEND Youth Worker?
Teaching Personnel are seeking passionate Youth Workers to support challenging behaviour in schools in and around Leeds.
Responsibilities:
* Be a positive role model
* Engage students into lessons
* Develop strategies for children to cope
* Build positive relationships
* Encourage a positive learning environment
* Support the teacher with behaviour management
As these can be challenging environments, to be successful you would ideally have experience in this sector, Team Teach awareness and have worked with challenging individuals however this doesn’t necessarily have to be in a school setting and can be from care, residential, youth work, prison service etc!
Required Skills & Experience:
* Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
* Have spent three months or more in the country
* Have an overseas criminal clearance or be willing to apply for one if applicable
* Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
* Previous experience working with SEND children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
