You will be experienced in commercial projects of an interior nature, with some planning and building regulations knowledge. Working in AutoCAD and Revit alongside a team of interior designers. We are looking for an individual who will thrive on the responsibility to provide technical solutions and collaborate with the team, becoming the guardian of the design concept through to project completion. Roles & responsibilities • Working as a team and taking direction from our Creative Designers and Directors to deliver detailed information and drawings to support the site construction development team. • Liaising with planning officers, contributing to planning applications, pre-commencement conditions and other regulatory application procedures. • Working with the team to collate pre-start plans, paperwork, organise surveys and reports with external consultants as the project progresses. • Attend briefing meetings, site meetings and any other meeting as and when required for the role. • To prepare and present design proposals using AutoCAD and Revit and to co-ordinate design information, with the ability to produce, analyse and advise on detailed specifications for suitable materials or processes to be used. • Building key relationships internally and with clients. • To be the specialist in this area and guide the team and client on design proposals. Skills & Qualifications The technical designer role ideally requires you to have at least: • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical design role, with demonstratable knowledge in the commercial interiors and landlord development sector. • Extensive knowledge of the UK market and building control and regulations is imperative. • Proficient in working with AutoCAD and Revit.
