Our customer is one of the highest profile commercial Property & Real Estate organisations in the UK, with a number of high profile developments and multi-tenant buildings they own and manage. They seek an experienced technical services/engineering manager to help manage the outsourced HVAC service provider in their delivery of M&E maintenance across the estate.
The purpose of this role is to implement and maintain effective management systems and procedures in the delivery and continuity of service of the mechanical, electrical, transport and public health services to the tenant, while protecting and enhancing landlord assets within the building / estate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract management and organization of monthly meetings with contractors.
2. Monitor and analyze the functioning of plant and systems via the building management system.
3. Carry out random checks of critical plant operation and review contractors' reports.
4. Ensure compliance with all current legislation and recommended standards.
5. Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to building managers and occupiers.
6. Management of the permit to work system and check method statements.
7. Undertake regular audits of maintenance programmes and review call out sheets.
8. Preparation and management of engineering service charge budgets.
9. Implementation and management of the concept planned maintenance system.
10. Ensure that the requisite engineering standards are executed in the management of buildings.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must be fully qualified in either electrical or mechanical engineering, with at least five years of experience as a Technical / Engineering Services Manager, ideally within the corporate or managing agent / real estate sector. Core M&E qualifications and additional training such as IOSH, NEBOSH, or further education such as HND / Degree in an Engineering discipline are beneficial.
