Job summary The catering department is looking to recruit a part time experienced Catering Assistant to work within retail and patient services at our new hospital Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in Smethwick, as well as our City Hospital, Birmingham and Sandwell Hospital in West Bromwich Applicants must have previous supervisor catering experience with high standards of work, be an outgoing, hard-working and enthusiastic individual that is able to work on their own initiative. Main duties of the job To carry out a wide range of general catering duties in an efficient and effective manner to ensure that a high quality service is provided at all times. This post has a significant amount of personal contact with Staff, Patients and Members of the Public. Duties for retail include cash handling, basic food preparation, general cleaning and completing control paperwork and working a barista coffee machine. To carry out basic food preparation, packing, labelling and chilling ofsandwiches and other food products, according to set recipes andprocedures.2.
