About Us
TSH (formerly Telethon Speech and Hearing) is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation, registered charity, independent school and NDIS provider that has helped children with speech, language and hearing difficulties lead fulfilling lives since 1966.
We are a proud Western Australian success story and a family centred practice.
TSH provides integrated services for children with hearing loss and/or speech and language difficulties from newborns to 18-year-olds. A team of education professionals work collaboratively alongside allied health professionals to empower children to hear, communicate, connect and learn.
At TSH, you will find an environment that is welcoming, inclusive, supportive and fun, where our employees take pride in the work they undertake, the relationships that they build and the difference they make in the lives of the children and families we support.
We offer a competitive remuneration package including access to salary packaging, professional development, 7 weeks annual leave, free parking, paid parental leave and an employee assistance program, as well as the opportunity to work alongside our passionate and diverse team of professionals.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Counselling, Clinical, Educational or Developmental Psychologist to provide support to children and families enrolled in our Talkabout Program.
Our Talkabout Program is a specialised early intervention program for 2, 3, 4 and 5 year old children with speech and language delays that provides a language-rich environment and approach to supporting children and their families.
Reporting to the Principal, the Psychologist will provide hands-on support in a collaborative and welcoming team environment, to identify and address the psychological, social, emotional, behavioural and cognitive needs of the children and families.
The role offers genuine autonomy to manage your day independently, the ability to provide incidental and formal intervention to families, and the capacity to use your knowledge and experience to undertake continuous improvement work.
This is a part-time job share position working 15 hours per week – either over two days (Thursday, Friday) or three days (Wednesday, Thursday or Friday) per week.
About You
As we pride ourselves on being experts in our field, we are seeking a registered Psychologist who shares our commitment to excellence by using evidence-informed, child-safe practices and contemporary positive behaviour support to deliver the highest level of service to our children and families, while working collaboratively with teachers and our allied health team.
You will also be a visible and inclusive professional who has extensive knowledge of all aspects of childhood development and a commitment to working in partnership with families/caregivers as a part of a family-centred practice model.
Psychologists working in early childhood settings or primary schools are encouraged to apply.
