Due to promotion and expansion within our team we have :

• 9 month full time maternity leave cover (FTC/secondment opportunity)
Both posts support our rotation, and although we have full time positions available we would support part-time working at a minimum of 0.5wte (18.75hrs/week).
The rotational posts will cover the following areas including Inpatient and Outpatient care
• Orthopaedics (QMC campus)
• Neurosciences & Oncology (QMC campus)
• Neonates (Based at QMC and City campus)

Assess and treat children and young people (and their families) to promote their independence in their activities of daily living and support hospital discharge
To support Orthopaedic & Neuro splinting where required.
Work as part of multidisciplinary teams in both in and outpatient settings
You will have excellent communication and team working skills.
You will have a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and workload in what is a fast paced working environment.
The post has a requirement that you manage and support qualified staff, Support Staff and Students on Clinical Placement allowing you to develop your leadership, managerial and teaching skills.
You will deputise for the Band 7 leads as appropriate.As part of the wider Children's Occupational Therapy team you will be asked to support a rostered weekend working service to support our more straightforward MSK in-patient discharges. This is approximately 1 on-call morning every 2 months. We will support you to ensure you have the basic competencies to do this confidently.
The Nottingham Children's Hospital (NCH) is based at the Queens Medical Centre campus and Neonatal care is supported on both the QMC and City campus'. We provide In-patient and out-patient care for children up to the age of 19 years old.
With 97 beds, we care for around 40,000 children each year from Nottinghamshire and beyond, treating a full range of conditions, including planned and emergency treatment and surgery, Burns and Plastics, Neurological conditions, Oncology, Paediatric critical care, Renal conditions and transplantation, and Spinal and Orthopaedic care.
The Children’s Therapy team at NCH is a friendly and supportive department who work closely alongside the wider MDT, providing excellent evidence based care and innovative ways of working.
