Role: Operations Manager

Salary: GBP up to GBP 75k plus car allowance, bonus and package (Negotiable depending on experience)

The Role:
Linsco is working with a leading housing company looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team due to growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that can offer security, career progression, and a fantastic work-life balance.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who comes from a social housing background; however, my client will also consider other housing experience, including new build and residential.
Duties:
1. Provide health and safety leadership to the operational management team and their site delivery teams, ensuring all works are carried out safely and do not pose risks to our installers, residents, and the general public.
2. Liaise closely with the Operational Support Team to ensure all contracts are carried out in accordance with agreed specifications and in a compliant manner to meet quality and compliance standards.
3. Create operational delivery targets and ensure all projects meet or exceed these targets.
4. Work with our Senior Management team to build and strengthen our supply chain.
5. Ensure our suppliers, subcontractors, and direct workforce follow company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, and Installation standards.
6. Oversee operational on-site delivery teams to ensure minimal disruption for residents and that areas are always kept clean and tidy.
7. Ensure appropriate training is provided to our operational delivery teams, including toolbox talks, daily activity briefings, Health & Safety training, and NVQ/Vocational qualifications.
8. Maintain accurate records of progress and performance on all projects and share this with the Senior Management team and Board.
9. Liaise with the Operational Support team to ensure materials are ordered on time and meet specification requirements for all projects.
10. Ensure all projects are carried out to the highest possible standard, complying with relevant industry and system manufacturers' standards, completed, snagged, and defect-free.
11. Lead and support on-site operational delivery teams to meet and exceed business performance targets.

1. Proven and demonstrable experience as an Operations Manager overseeing multiple projects.
2. Experience of working in occupied buildings/homes.
3. Experience managing health and safety procedures along with knowledge of H&S standards/regulations.
4. SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid (preferred).
5. Competent user of IT software packages including MS Office or similar tablet-based quality assurance software.
6. Competent user of programme scheduling software (preferred).
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. High level of organisational ability along with time management skills to drive and meet deadlines.
9. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
10. Commitment to providing a high-quality service demonstrating reliability, conscientiousness, and flexibility (essential).
11. Adept at working in a team and providing leadership/support to fellow team members (essential).
12. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
13. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
14. Knowledge of energy efficiency measures utilised within the public sector.
15. Excellent interpersonal skills, with clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
16. Inspirational leader able to build and develop a strong and highly committed team.
17. Ability and desire to take on increased operational responsibilities and take an active role at Board level.
