This Jointer will report to the Lead Operations Engineer and will work within UKPN Services based in our Bury St Edmunds office. You will be a Permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £43,898 plus van and a bonus of 3%

Main Job Purpose:
You will work as part of the UKPN Services Bury team. You will be responsible for jointing works from LV to 33kV. The Bury team are working with UKPN to help deliver multiple infastrucure projects. This includes 33kV/11kV/LV cable works. Secondary and Primary substation asset replacement, as new installations.
This role is based across the EPN footprint, but flexibility to work anywhere in UKPN Services footprint is required.
Principle Accountabilities:
Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment relevant to this role
To perform risk assessments and maintain safe working practices
Carryout jointing on EPN or SPN UKPN and private networks to the highest standard
Receive Specificed safety documents (PTW)
Any other relevant jointing responsibilities
Manage excavating teams
Understand operational and 1:500 diagrams
LV and HV cable jointing up to and including 33kV
Manage Jointers Mate and training of Apprentices.
Be an ambassador for UK Power Networks Services
Nature and Scope
You will be subject to pre-appointment drug screening observing the UK Power Networks policy on "Alcohol & Drugs".
You will progress with experience to undertake jointing up to 33kV. You will work as part of a team of technicians, jointers and fitters that report to The Lead Operational Engineer and have the support of experienced Field Engineers and Supervisors.
You will be predominantly based in the UK Power Networks Services area with work being undertaken on customer owned sites on a contractual basis. You will also travel and work anywhere within the UK on customer owned sites.

UKPN Substation entry.
UKPN DNO EPN or SPN LV and HV competencies essential upto 11kV. 33kV training can be offered to right candidate
Receive PTW
Work in a team environment.
Must have a clean driving licence.

Health & Safety Responsibilities
