Construction/Development Solicitor
Hybrid between home working and our Bradford office
Salary is up to £75k
Full-Time/Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Construction/Development Solicitor to provide expert legal guidance across construction and development matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing legal advice on construction and development matters, working with external solicitors as needed.
* Ensuring sound governance in documentation, negotiation, and retention.
* Streamlining processes to mitigate risks and reduce external legal costs.
* Advising on long-term partnerships and assist with contract variations.
* Review, draft, and negotiate construction documents (JCT contracts, warranties, consultant appointments, etc.).
* Supporting on property defects, environmental issues, and contractor insolvencies.
* Advising on Building Safety Act compliance for current and future housing stock.
Requirements:
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3+ years PQE in Construction & Development Law.
* Knowledge of Decent Homes Standards, Defective Premises legislation, and the Building Safety Act.
* Experience with JCT contracts, warranties, NHBC, and structural defect issues.
* Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
