My client in Blaenavon is currently in need of a Project Engineer (E&I Mechanical Design Engineer).
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Run and control all aspects of design and production of custom-built packages handling a variety of gases.
2. Raise purchase order specifications and bills of materials ensuring project costs are monitored and maintained.
3. Raise technical specifications for steel work/piping components (mechanical), and/or motors/instruments (E&I) and all necessary supporting items.
4. Work with the design team (drawing office) to produce required technical drawings for both production and client’s requirements.
5. Assist in the scheduling and monitoring of timescales.
6. Liaise directly with clients to ensure requirements are met and engineering specifications complied with.
7. Understand and comply with regulatory processes.
8. Control the manufacture of pressure vessels to ASME VIII & PD5500 and liaise with outside vendors.
9. Understand material specifications.
10. Understand IEC standards (E&I).
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Onshore & offshore Skid Package Builds.
2. Commercial awareness and materials specification.
3. Rotating Equipment.
4. E&I specification.
5. Understanding of international standards, IEC/ATEX/ASME.
6. Ability to read & follow P&ID and GA Drawings.
7. Proficient in Microsoft software packages including Project.
8. End-user and EPC interaction/ways of working.
The Salary for the position is £40,000 to £45,000.
