Job Overview:
As a Portfolio Manager in their Property Finance division, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of bridging and development finance clients. Your role will involve ensuring that clients' financing needs are met, assessing risk, monitoring performance and covenants, and building strong, long-term relationships with clients. You will act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the life cycle of their loans ensuring compliance with lending criteria and delivering high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Portfolio Management: Oversee a portfolio of bridging and development finance clients, ensuring the smooth management of their loan facilities from start to finish.
* Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for inquiries, advice, and guidance on finance options.
* Risk Management: Monitor the financial performance, covenants and risk of each client, identifying any issues that may affect loan repayment or project delivery.
* Financial Analysis & Due Diligence: Conduct thorough financial assessments and due diligence on new and existing clients, including property appraisals, cash flow forecasts, and loan structuring.
* Loan Monitoring: Track the performance of loans, ensuring clients meet key milestones and repayment schedules. Work proactively to resolve any issues or delays.
* Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all loan documentation is accurate, up to date, and in compliance with regulatory and company policies.
* Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance, loan status, and any identified risks or issues to senior management.
* Market Insights: Stay up to date with market trends, property values, and changes in lending regulations to provide clients with informed and relevant advice.
* Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the underwriting, legal, and collections teams to ensure smooth loan origination, execution, and resolution.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Experience: Proven experience in property finance, specifically bridging or development finance, with a track record of managing client portfolios.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of property finance products, loan structuring, and risk management.
* Financial Acumen: Experience in financial analysis, underwriting, and property valuations.
* Client-Focused: Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients at all levels.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and propose solutions.
* Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of relevant property finance regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
* Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to deliver optimal outcomes for clients.
