Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced HR Officer to join Cheshire East Council's Pay and Reward Team on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The Role: Support all aspects of the delivery of the Workforce Strategy to ensure effective recruitment, resourcing and retention throughout Schools and the Council Research and draft policies/procedures/processes to ensure that employees are managed in accordance with the latest legislation and good practice guidelines and contribute to the communication of such changes throughout Schools and the Council. Provide specialist HR support, in the development and delivery of HR plans, projects/initiatives/joint working/workshops etc to ensure the smooth and consistent implementation of HR Policy/Pay and Reward changes within Schools and Council services. Analyse workforce information, provide advice on workforce pay and reward matters (e.g. Pay Structures) and respond to requests for management information so that accurate and up-to-date HR data supports management decisions Contribute to the design and development of pay and reward solutions, to ensure that cost effective remuneration packages are maintained which attract and retain high calibre staff for the Council. Provide advice as necessary to Schools and Services on all aspects of HR Pay and Reward and the interpretation of policies, procedures, processes and practice, including terms of conditions of service, to ensure business needs are met and employees are managed in a fair and consistent way Ensuring that any pay and reward changes are implemented by TSC to ensure a seamless service for staff and managers. Undertake job evaluations, act as secretary to job evaluation panels and provide job evaluation advice and guidance to ensure schemes are applied consistently and evaluation decisions are properly defended at appeal Requirements: Underpinning knowledge of HR policies, procedures and processes and related professional practices, employment law, case law, organisational design principles, local government conditions of service and pensions, ACAS standards etc. Job evaluation methodology.
