Where would we be without you, the Heart of the House? You set the tone for a safe and enjoyable experience for all team members and our guests. You will operate dish machine equipment and handle delicate commercial kitchenware with elevated standards of quality and attention to detail.
1. Clean, wash, dry, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and equipment per Company standards and specifications in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
2. Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment, chemicals, and linens.
3. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all work and storage spaces.
4. Assist with stocking kitchen and organizing product.
5. Completing sanitization and food safety protocols and logs with assistance and direction from management.
6. Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
7. Must have or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler Card.
8. Must pass a pre-employment background check.
9. Minimum age of 18 years required to reside in company housing, where available.
10. Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.
11. Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
15. Ability to lift 50 lbs./23 kg, work around hot kitchen equipment safely, and stand/walk for long periods of time.
16. Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
17. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
18. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
19. Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.
20. Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
