Supply Assistant - Plasma Job Summary This is an exciting opportunity to work in a team responsible for physical processing and digital (computer) processing, boxed and palletised, frozen plasma. As part of the Plasma team you will be preparing finished goods for dispatch to a fractionator. You will be joining a dynamic team who are part of something special. Main duties of the job You will be required to undertake a range of routine and non routine tasks in the Validation Department. Typically these duties will involve :- Working as part of a team performing a range of routine and non-routine tasks during the processing of plasma components Recognising when issues/events need to be referred to a supervisor e.g., reporting and completing initial documentation for quality incidents Providing advice, training and support to less experienced staff Working without direct supervision, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times Maintaining accurate paper and computer records, generate reports and worksheets and ensure that all records are completed and filed correctly to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards Operating IT hardware such as PC s, keyboards and printers generating reports and work-lists Repetitive precise manipulation of equipment, labels and plasma packs. May require the movement of items weighing up to 8Kg without the use of mechanical aids and always in accordance with appropriate Health and Safety regulations High levels of concentration required to ensure safe product and services to patients Daily exposure in a controlled environment to contained and uncontained plasma samples/donations Daily exposure to temperatures of -30 O C, due to working with walk-in freezers You will be required to ensure that you follow health and safety policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work to ensure your safety and the safety of others About You Experience and Knowledge Experience of working as part of a team Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint) Experience of working in a customer focused environment Qualifications and Training Educated to A level, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification OR relevant equivalent experience Please view the attached recruitment profile which is a summary of the detailed Job Description and Person Specification for the full personal attributes we require for the role.
