We are looking for someone with strong line management skills who will be able to supervise a team towards delivering an outstanding level of service for our citizens. To be successful in this role, you will need to display professionalism and flexibility, and have the ability to work effectively under pressure. You will have line management responsibilities for a designated staff caseload, including the completion of regular supervisions and annual performance reviews. You will be responsible for providing coaching support and guidance to staff, and you should role model best practice at all times. You will have the confidence to address performance issues through clear and transparent conversations and feedback. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with their team, and will have strong literacy and IT skills. Acting as a Named Safeguarding Professional, you will monitor the well-being and safety of citizens, whilst escalating concerns and taking effective in timely way. You will liaise with and sustain positive working relationships with relevant internal and external professionals to ensure that health/care needs of citizens are being met. This exciting role will involve driving a daily meaningful activity programme as well as an outstanding level of care for our citizens; contributing to the care planning process; and taking a proactive approach in ensuring that these plans are being followed by the team. You will consistently monitor standards of care within the service, and you will take a key role in completing monthly quality assurance tasks, which in turn will help drive the continuous quality improvement of the Day Service provision. Qualifications needed Essential · Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care or equivalent or be willing to work towards this qualification. · Level 3 NVQ in Leadership & Management or equivalent or be willing to work towards this qualification. Desirable · Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English. Working Hours Our Day Service is open 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year and is registered with our Local Authority. The Day Service is located on the Portland College campus. The core working hours for these posts will be 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday; however, some flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.
