About the role (External)
Key Accountabilities:
1.Undertake full range of procurement activities including obtaining supplier prices, tendering negotiation and purchase order placement.
2.Assist in the procurement of higher value and more complex commodities.
3.Provision of dedicated support to senior staff in commodity area
4.Target specific goods, services and/or suppliers to identify how tangible improvements may be made in the procurement of these goods and services.
Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Essential
·Commercial experience and aptitude.
·Understanding of procurement processes.
Desirable
·Knowledge of procurement and competition legislation, procurement procedures, processes, systems and controls.
·Membership or training for qualifications in relevant professional institution.
