Role of our Electrical Engineer:
Core duties include:
1. Carry out installation, inspection & testing, and the maintenance & repair of all electrical systems.
2. Carry out the wiring and fault finding of central heating control systems.
3. Have the ability to fault find, repair, and replace door entry and warden call systems.
4. Conduct themselves professionally and responsibly at all times on behalf of CCS Limited.
5. Carry out all works in line with codes of practice, company procedures, and stipulations.
Duties for our Electrical Engineer:
Maintains job time frame and quality standards of the company by:
1. Working efficiently, effectively, and safely with a high-quality finish.
2. Delivering a high-quality service to the client and their customers, having respect for all individuals and meeting the challenges presented.
3. Carrying out all works strictly in line with company procedures and all standards within the industry including code of practice and best practice.
4. Conducting repairs and minor works as required for installation call backs or remedial works.
5. Providing breakdown attendance and response to urgent calls as part of a call-out rota.
6. Ordering parts and managing jobs to ensure fast resolution to client issues or faults.
7. Clearing each job from the hand-held device and back office system as completed.
8. Liaising with residents and CCS clients regarding works being undertaken.
9. Ensuring all PPE is present and correct at all times.
10. Ensuring all equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
11. Keeping all appointments and informing CCS tenants/clients accordingly.
12. Carrying out duties as required by any senior manager or member of staff representing such manager.
13. Staying up to date with all codes of practice involving your given discipline.
14. Reporting variations to any works and updating the administration department of changes to requirements on site.
15. Engaging in and attending all staff briefings and company functions.
16. Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
17. Liaising with all other engineers and staff to ensure targets are reached, organizing plumbing works and building works on any given installation.
18. Producing a certificate or job sheet for all works, along with any other reports or records required.
19. Submitting accurate time sheets, delivery notes, expenses, and any other documentation weekly.
Skills/Qualifications for our Electrical Engineer:
1. General competence in the given trade, NVQ 2 or equivalent, 18th edition wiring regulations, C&G 2391.
2. Experience/Qualifications in fault diagnosis, repair, and installation of door entry and warden call systems, or transferable skills, a distinct advantage.
3. Punctuality, professionalism, flexibility, and working knowledge of Mobile PDA.
4. Desirable: Gold ECS NVQ level 3 card 2391 or 2395 & 2394 in testing and inspection.
Experience Required for our Electrical Engineer:
Experience of working within the Social Housing market on installation projects and maintenance contracts, including experience of working with residents and clients directly, would be an advantage. Experience in wiring domestic heating systems or the capability to adapt and learn is also required. A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required.
