University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Nuclear Medicine Practitioner / Technologist / Radiographer to take a significant role in a busy and recently refurbished Nuclear Medicine Department. The Department provides a wide ranging imaging, non-imaging and therapeutic radionuclide service based at Poole Hospital but serving patients from across Dorset. The department is equipped with two Siemens' Intevo Bold SPECT/CT scanners and is situated adjacent to the Alliance Medical run PET Centre. Extensive optimisation has been undertaken on these two new scanners to allow full use to be made of their capabilities.
The Department supports a progressive cardiac imaging service with Radiographer lead stressing and clinical reporting. It is planning to significantly extend its provision of diagnostic level CT as part of its hybrid imaging service and is already providing a contract CT service for parathyroid imaging. It actively supports staff training, clinical development, audit, research and attendance at meetings and conferences.
