Chotto Matte is a globally renowned Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant group with locations in London, Doha, Riyadh, San Francisco, and Toronto. Known for our bold flavours, vibrant atmosphere, and immersive dining experiences, we are now seeking a dynamic Director of Sales to drive new business and revenue growth for our flagship restaurant in the heart of Soho London and our newest opening in Manchester coming in September this year.
The Role:
As Director of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing proactive sales strategies to attract new business and drive event sales. You will lead the sales function across both UK locations, managing relationships with key corporate clients and hospitality partners.
You will also be responsible for managing our London-based Sales Executive, who handles inbound inquiries and smaller group bookings and building a Sales team of 2 in Manchester to support our new 18,000 sq ft rooftop location in the heart of the city.
This Director of Sales position is perfect for a self-starter with a passion for hospitality and a proven track record in sales leadership within the restaurant, luxury hospitality, or events industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a proactive sales strategy to drive new business and revenue growth for our London and Manchester locations.
* Identify, target, and secure high-value clients, corporate accounts, and hospitality partnerships.
* Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the events, corporate, and luxury lifestyle sectors.
* Drive sales for private dining, group bookings, and exclusive events.
* Work closely with marketing and operations teams to create compelling sales packages and promotional initiatives.
* Lead and mentor the Sales team ensuring alignment in sales efforts and maximizing revenue opportunities.
* Track and analyse sales performance, providing reports and insights to senior management.

* Proven experience in a senior sales role within high-end hospitality, restaurants, or luxury events.
* A strong network within the corporate, events, and hospitality industries.
* A proactive, target-driven mindset with a passion for business development.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to think strategically and execute innovative sales initiatives.
* Experience managing and mentoring sales teams.
