Long Term Futures is working in close partnership with a warm, welcoming OFSTED 'Good' primary school in Rugby, seeking multiple SEN Teaching Assistants for long-term roles with the potential to go permanent. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive school community where every child's needs are understood and met. Three Exciting Roles Available in School 1. EYFS - 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Support a child in Nursery with a diagnosis of Down's Syndrome and ASD. This child has an EHCP and presents with communication needs. You'll follow a play-based approach to help them access the EYFS curriculum, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide nurturing, consistent support. 2. Year 1 - 2:1 SEN Support for Twins Work with twin children with ASD and limited speech and attention spans. Both have EHCPs and are currently transitioning into Year 1, though still accessing Reception. This role involves supporting their adjustment to a new routine and may include some general TA support in Year 2 during afternoons. 3. Reception/Nursery - Blended Support Role Split between Nursery and Reception, this role supports general needs in Nursery and provides targeted 2:1 support for two children in Reception with EHCPs (Down's Syndrome and ASD with no verbal communication). Some afternoons may involve light general TA support in Year 2. We're Looking For Candidates Who: Have experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD, Down's Syndrome, or communication needs Are comfortable working in EYFS and/or KS1 with children accessing learning through play Can adapt support strategies to suit different developmental levels and EHCP requirements Are patient, nurturing, and consistent in their approach Can work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals Hold a relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3, TA Certificate, or a degree in Early Years, Psychology or a related field - although experience will be equally valued Why Work with Long Term Futures?
