Job Title: Business Development Manager - Precast Piling House Foundations

Area to be covered: North & Midlands - ideally based Midlands
Remuneration: £55,000 neg. + 15% Bonus

Role Responsibilities:
1. Field sales role selling Precast Piling, Steel Piling, Precast House Foundations, and Precast Ground Beams.
2. Selling into predominantly national housebuilders, as well as regional developers, commercial builders, and main contractors.
3. 70% new business development, 30% developing existing housebuilder projects and accounts.
4. Inheriting an area with a turnover of circa £5m.
5. Expected to close 19/20 contracts per annum initially.
6. Tasked with growing the area; recently opened a new £2.5m factory with capacity to double production.
7. Average project sizes are circa £250,000 (typically rigs on site for 10 weeks) can be £1m+.
8. Enquiry to order circa 3 months.
9. Focus on business development with dedicated sales administration support.
10. 10-12 customer visits per week.
11. Spending on average 4 days on the road with 1 day working from head office in Midlands until established in role.
Ideal Applicant Qualifications:
1. Experience as a Business Development Manager - Precast Piling House Foundations.
2. Ideally sold into national housebuilders or regional housing developers; must understand how housebuilders operate.
3. Open to various construction field sales backgrounds.
4. Specific knowledge of Precast Piling, Steel Piling, Precast House Foundations, and Precast Ground Beams is not essential as product training will be provided.
5. Energetic with a can-do mindset.
6. New business development skills.
7. Technically competent and strong communicator.
8. Ideally some civil engineering qualifications.
9. Self-starter with a hit-the-ground-running mentality, comfortable with autonomy.
