We are working in partnership with a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Belfast. They specialise in providing end-to-end services, including civil and structural design, project management, and procurement services. Their clients include public and private sector organisations such as transportation authorities, utility companies, and environmental agencies. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, including structural assessment and design of highways, railways, and marine structures, inspection and appraisal of existing structures, including bridges and retaining walls, slope stability analysis and pile design, project management and supervision of construction works for NEC 3 & 4 contracts.
Your new role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and managing projects, ensuring technical excellence, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of civil and structural engineering projects.
* Oversee project planning, design, and execution to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams.
* Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
* Contribute to business development and strategic planning initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
To be qualified for the Chartered Engineering role, candidates must have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred) with chartered engineer status (CEng) with a recognised professional body or nearly chartered. Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering. With a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects, excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills and strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
